What is Final Gravity?
Final Gravity is an Atlanta GA based club that promotes homebrewing and appreciation of craft beer and homebrewed beer for beginners and experts alike. Visit our Yahoo! Groups page to join the Final Gravity mailing list.
Dues
Club dues are $25 per calendar year. Club dues are used as seed money for club-hosted competitions and shirts.
Meetings
Meetings are the last Tuesday of each month; with some possible adjustments for end of year holidays. We usually meet at an in-town brewpub such as Park Tavern or Twain's at 7:30pm, with meetings lasting around 3 hours. Agenda usually includes (1) discussion of past and upcoming events, (2) evaluation of homebrews, with some picked for BJCP style judging, and (3) technical presentations on topics that are intended to further the knowledge and brewing proficiency for club members.
Group Brews
About 4 times per year, the club decides on a style of beer to brew in a group setting. Recipes are circulated and discussed and group brew sessions are often done on Bob's MoreBeer B3 system.
Brewer of the Year
Each year, the dues-paying member with the highest number of competition points (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or a Best of Show) in AHA sanctioned competitions receives 25,000 Delta SkyMiles.
